Secure Transportation Policies
These policies apply to reservations with the Secure Transportation Division of MA1 Security & Investigative Services (“MA1”). By booking or paying for service, the customer accepts these policies on behalf of all passengers included in the reservation.
Reservations and confirmation
A booking request, payment, or Square receipt does not by itself guarantee a vehicle, driver, protection agent, route, or pickup time. A reservation is confirmed only after MA1 accepts the itinerary and provides confirmation. Service remains subject to vehicle and personnel availability. The customer must provide accurate pickup, destination, passenger-count, luggage, accessibility, flight, and special-service information.
Payment, minimum service, and additional charges
Secure Transportation reservations are subject to a four-hour minimum unless MA1 confirms a different minimum in writing. The minimum applies even when the vehicle is released early or used for fewer than four hours. Quoted prices are based on the itinerary, vehicle, staffing, and service window provided at booking.
Additional time, stops, mileage, tolls, parking, permits, cleaning, lodging, meals, special access fees, airport or FBO charges, and requested security personnel may be billed separately when not included in the written quote. Any required deposit and remaining balance must be paid by the deadlines stated in the reservation confirmation.
Cancellations, refunds, and changes
Cancellations must be made directly with MA1. Unless the written confirmation states otherwise, payments are refundable when cancellation is received at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup, less any nonrefundable third-party costs or specifically identified deposit. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before pickup, same-day cancellations, and no-shows are nonrefundable.
Date, time, route, passenger-count, vehicle, or staffing changes are subject to availability and may change the price. A material change may be treated as a cancellation and new reservation. If MA1 must cancel and cannot provide a reasonable substitute, MA1 will refund amounts paid for the affected service. Weather, road closures, government action, emergencies, mechanical events, and other conditions beyond reasonable control may require delay, rerouting, substitution, or cancellation.
Waiting time and driver hours
The reserved service window begins at the confirmed report or pickup time. Customer-caused waiting time and itinerary extensions are billable, subject to vehicle and personnel availability. Service may not be extended beyond lawful or safe driving and duty-hour limits. MA1 may assign a relief driver, require rest time, revise the itinerary, or end service when continuing would be unsafe or unlawful. Any resulting driver, lodging, or repositioning cost is the customer’s responsibility when caused by the requested itinerary or changes.
Airport and FBO service
Customers must provide the correct airline, flight number, airport code, terminal or FBO, passenger contact number, and luggage count. MA1 may monitor flight information, but the passenger remains responsible for promptly reporting changes. Pickup procedures, staging, grace periods, waiting charges, and meet-and-greet access vary by airport, terminal, FBO, and local rules.
Airport service includes JFK, LGA, EWR, HPN, and TEB when available. Delays, diversions, customs, baggage claims, traffic, security restrictions, and terminal changes may affect pickup time and may result in waiting, parking, toll, or additional-service charges. A passenger who cannot be located or contacted after the applicable grace period may be treated as a no-show.
Passenger conduct and vehicle care
Passengers must follow lawful instructions from the driver, protection personnel, Dispatch, and venue or airport authorities. Smoking, vaping, illegal drugs, unlawful conduct, threats, harassment, violence, weapons not disclosed and lawfully authorized in advance, unsafe behavior, and interference with the driver are prohibited. Seat belts must be used where provided.
MA1 may refuse or end service without refund when conduct threatens safety, violates law, damages property, or materially disrupts the assignment. The booking customer is responsible for extraordinary cleaning, repair, loss, fines, or damage caused by passengers or their property. Alcohol may be transported or consumed only when lawful, approved for the vehicle and assignment, and used responsibly; MA1 may refuse service to an impaired or disorderly passenger.
Executive Protection and security services
Secure transportation does not automatically include Executive Protection, armed security, or a guarantee against every risk. Protective services require advance consultation, a separate scope, appropriate staffing, and written confirmation. Armed assignments are accepted only where lawful and operationally appropriate. MA1 may adjust routes, vehicles, timing, formations, pickup points, staffing, or procedures when reasonably necessary for safety or security.
The client must disclose known threats, restraining orders, medical or mobility concerns, weapons, unusual access conditions, media exposure, and other facts material to planning. Protection personnel retain operational discretion to respond to changing conditions and will not carry out unlawful instructions.
Personal property, delays, and limitation of responsibility
Passengers are responsible for their belongings and should not leave valuables unattended. MA1 is not responsible for ordinary traffic, flight activity, security screening, road conditions, weather, venue delays, or other events outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these policies limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.
Questions and policy acceptance
For itinerary questions, changes, or cancellations, contact MA1 Dispatch at (888) 296-4330 or email guardservices@ma1security.net. If a written quote or service agreement conflicts with this page, the signed or specifically confirmed written terms control for that reservation.
